The Asus ROG Phone 6D and 6D Ultimate come with exactly the same specifications as the ROG Phone 6 and ROG Phone 6 Pro except for the processor.
In recent weeks, Asus has teased a new range of smartphones which had drawn attention with the ROG Phone 6D and ROG Phone 6D Pro. The ROG Phone 6D and ROG Phone 6D Pro are two models which were expected to look at a traditional gaming smartphone market that’s dominated by Razer, Samsung and HTC. And both phones on paper will be able to take on those competitors easily. Looking at the specs sheet you see some notable upgrades over the previous models but we’ll get into that further down this post.
The new Asus ROG Phone 6D and ROG Phone 6D Ultimate come with exactly the same specifications as the ROG Phone 6 and ROG Phone 6 Pro except for the processor. The ROG Phone 6D Ultimate, however, has one more difference. It features a unique AeroActive Portal on the back that opens a direct path to the phone’s internal cooling components using a motorised hinge. Using this mechanism, the ROG Phone 6D is able to dissipate heat more efficiently, giving persistently high performance. This AeroActive Portal is exclusive to the ROG Phone 6D Ultimate, but it does not come bundled.
The ROG Phone 6D starts at £799 and the 6D Ultimate comes in at £1,199. Both phones come in a single Space Grey colour with the AeroActive Portal attachment available separately for EUR 89.
